De forhåndenværende søm works based on the principle of using what’s already available. Everything is designed and built using the used and leftover materials that are accessible. De forhåndenværende søm primarily works with wood, designing and building furniture, smaller objects, and repairing what has already been created.
THE UPCYCL creates visibility for available materials and helps us connect with those who have them at hand. There’s plenty of used wood to collect, but often it’s damaged from being left outside. Initiatives like THE UPCYCL ensure that materials are cared for until someone is ready to give them new life.
